How To Prep for Your Microcurrent Facial Treatment

Microcurrent facials are quickly becoming a popular at-home, professional skin care alternative in the beauty industry. In order to stimulate the facial muscles, this low-level electrical current sends gentle waves down the muscles. Microcurrent facials rejuvenate your body's natural current, which slows down with age. This has been proved to have amazing anti-aging effects by reducing the appearance of fine lines and toning your facial muscles. What could be better than receiving a microcurrent facial while lying in bed?

So let's look at the products you'll need for a microcurrent facial lift at home:

  1. Cleanser- You should always cleanse your face before using a microcurrent device. We recommend using an oil free cleanser.
  2. Conductive gel- To get the microcurrent to the facial muscles where it is most needed, you need to use the right conducting gel. Without this, microcurrent bounces off the skin rather than working deeply on the facial muscles. Without the conductive gel your treatment will be ineffective.
  3. Caliste microcurrent device- Turn on the device and choose the intensity level of your choice. We recommend starting with the lowest intensity and working your way up slowly.
  1. Finish your routine- Finish off with your regular skincare routine such as a facial serum, moisturizer and an eye cream.

  2. Do not use retinol before the treatment. We recommend using our microcurrent device at least 2 days after using retinol. Microcurrent device pushes retinol further into the skin and will cause irritation and redness.
